Breezin’ Magazine’s Volume 3 Cover Reveal of New Mayor Jane Castor

Coming this October 21st, 2019, Breezin’ Magazine is excited to announce its third edition, “The New Tampa Bay”. Diving deep into the happenings of Tampa Bay, St. Pete/Clearwater, and Sarasota, “The New Tampa Bay” will cover new and upcoming developments along with the leading charities, event moguls, key influencers, and industry professionals in the area. The face of the upcoming magazine will feature none other than Tampa Bay’s very own Mayor, Jane Castor, who was elected into office March 5th, 2019. Castor received her undergraduate degree in criminology from The University of Tampa located right on the Hillsborough River across from downtown. In 1984 she began her professional career with the Tampa Bay Police Department. Later, in 2005, she became the assistant chief until 2009 when she was appointed to Chief of Police, holding this position for six years until her 2015 retirement. Breezin’ Magazine’s Director of Events, Jessie Soplinski sat down with Mayor Castor to discuss Castor’s first 150 days as mayor. Soplinski questioned Castor on her road to office, her thoughts on “The New Tampa Bay”, her main challenges and more. Mayor Castor is excited to make improvements to the city such as public transportation and the Pipes Program, which focuses on renewing the nearly 100-year-old sewage system. You can find the whole interview transcript in “The New Tampa Bay” magazine at BreezinMagazine.com The magazine also includes articles on The Tampa Bay Museum of Art, The Florida Aquarium, The MacDill Air Force Base, among many others. “The New Tampa Bay” works well to encompass the Tampa Bay community as a whole and offers inside information on new and upcoming projects. One of the articles is a spread about Breezin’ Entertainment’s charity of the year, Instruments 4 Life. This charity will be honored at the Breezin’ Magazine Launch party with all proceeds donated directly. Instruments 4 Life has provided instrument and art lessons for kids in the area for the past eight years in order to teach children empowerment through art and music. They believe that all children should have the opportunity to grow a passion for music and art, regardless of their family’s financial situation. Many children who utilize the lessons are from underprivileged communities where music and art programs are often underfunded. Instruments 4 Life works to combat the stigma that these programs are an extracurricular activity rather than a part of a well-rounded education. Of course, the magazine also offers tips for corporate entertainment and destination weddings. If you’re thinking about hosting an event, “The New Tampa Bay” will help trigger some ideas on how to make your event stand out from the rest. You can also visit https://breezin.com/wedding-services/ to learn more about ways to make your wedding day unique. How to Choose the Perfect Venue for an Event feat. The Westshore Yacht Club

Choosing a venue may get lost in importance when planning an event – a bride and groom may choose a Pinterest-perfect venue instead of following their style, or the venue may be chosen before a guest list is finalized, unknowingly choosing a much bigger or smaller venue than what is needed. To get focused, here are four key tips to consider before booking a venue for your next wedding or corporate event. 1. Ensure that you choose a venue with the ambiance and style you are looking for The ambiance of a venue sets the mood for the rest of the event. A venue can be minimalistic and easily transformed with lots of décor and entertainment, or it may have a strong style on its own that simply needs to be accented with personalized pieces. Choosing a style such as rustic, fairytale, beachy, or glam before looking at venues will help narrow your options more efficiently and ensures the event will complete your vision. 2. Check out what is included and what is not included in the venue Some venues offer full-service packages that may include set-up and minimal decorations, while at other venues you must rent and bring your own. This will make the venue costs change greatly, so be sure to get quotes from rental companies and check all of the boxes before locking in a venue. They may also have catering, blocks of rooms for out-of-town guests available if the venue is a hotel or various amenities such as a spa or a pool. If there is a certain element or convenience you are looking for, be sure to ask the venue what all of your options are. Even if the venue doesn’t have everything you need, working with an event entertainment agency can fill in the gaps seamlessly. Breezin’ Entertainment offers a wide variety of entertainment for your any type of event. To see the full list of services, please visit https://breezin.com/ 3. Consider the experience you want your guests to have It is important to decide what kind of experience you want to give your guests. There is an infinite number of ways to do this, such as unique and impressive entertainment, having various activities and amenities available, and great music. For example, if you are thinking about creating a hashtag for guests to use at your wedding or event, be sure your venue has elements that encourage guests to take pictures to post and to look back on fondly. Having a scenic view and a photo booth or a wall backdrop with props would help guests take memorable photos that they’ll want to share. If your guests are coming from out of town, create a plan that will give them a place to stay and have ways to enjoy themselves and relax outside of attending the event. 4. Choose a venue that meets your needs and expectations for the event Finalizing a guest list before you book a venue will make sure you are choosing the correct sized space for the size of the event. Ask the venue manager about how much parking is available, and decide how guests will travel to the venue. Making these important decisions will help your event be as perfect as possible. Welcome to The Bay Club at Westshore Yacht Club – a full banquet facility located in historic South Tampa for all your event needs. This event space can hold any event from an intimate ten-person luncheon to a lavish 300 guest waterfront wedding. They offer onsite catering, a full liquor bar, a bridal room & a groom room to get ready for the special day, sunsets on the bay every day, and the comfort that it will all be taken care of for your special event. 5 Essentials You Might Miss When Choosing a Venue Feat. Wyndham Grand Hotel

There are many things to consider when planning, organizing and hosting an event whether it’s a corporate event or a wedding. However, many people miss the importance of taking time to choose a venue. This is the place where your guests should feel comfortable and enjoy themselves from start to finish. Here are five essential things you might not think about when choosing an event venue. 1. Acoustics and Sound Try to find a venue with a fine balance between lower ceilings, which amplify sound, and large open rooms that cause echoes. Sound that is overbearingly loud or too low might cause guests to feel unengaged, bored or even annoyed. No one wants to have to yell over the volume or squeeze their way closer to the speakers. 2. Ambiance Throwing a fun and engaging event for your guests means creating an environment that is appealing and relates to the theme. The ambiance includes everything from decorations to music to entertainment, which is something that Tampa entertainment agency, Breezin’ Entertainment, can assist you with. Creating the appropriate mood for your guests with the right venue can be difficult to achieve. For a venue that sets the perfect mood for any occasion, you can have your event at the Wyndham Grand Clearwater Beach. This is the ideal location for a Florida destination wedding, a fun-filled, beach-themed corporate event, or even a holiday party. In fact, Breezin’ Entertainment has done wedding and corporate events with the Wyndham Grand featuring all kinds of entertainment including an electric violinist, DJ karaoke, Cirque acts, and more. 3. Wifi Access Having a stable internet connection in the entire venue is going to be critical. Many of your guests may need to complete certain tasks where they might need wifi like checking their email, texting friends, and family, and of course, posting on social media during the event, which is what you want to try and get your guests to do. It’s best to test the wifi connection a few days before the event and the day of to make sure all your guests have access in the entire venue. You don’t want your guests having to walk outside of the event trying to find a strong connection. 4. Parking Many of your guests are obviously going to need a place to leave their car, and you want to make parking as convenient as possible for them. Make sure to make parking arrangements at the venue even if there might be an extra charge. The venue should have its own garage or parking lot. 5. Insurance There are some venues that might refuse to work with you if you don’t have the proper insurance. Discuss with the venue about what their insurance policy is and which side is expected to have it. If there is insurance to provide on your side, remember to contact your general liability agent as soon as possible to help you. Welcome to the Wyndham Grand Clearwater Beach – the newest AAA 4 Diamond resort on America’s #1 Beach! How to Throw the Perfect Summer Party

When summer time finally comes around, it is worth celebrating. If you are thinking about throwing a summer party, there are some elements you consider first in order to pull off the perfect event. Follow these quick steps in order to truly impress your guest with the perfect summer party. The first thing to think about when planning a summer party is whether or not you want your party to have a theme. A theme is a great way to get people excited about your party as it allows everyone to get dressed up and have fun. Popular themes for summer parties include a Hawaiian luau or an underwater adventure. Each theme allows you to get creative with food and decorations while still impressing your guests with your creativity. The next thing you should consider is your outdoor space. If you are thinking of having a party in the summer, you should make sure that you have a functional outdoor space. If the weather is nice people will want to be outside and in order to accommodate them, you’ll need a good entertaining space. Outdoor seating, tables and space to mingle will all be vital to make your party a success. Another thing to keep in mind is how you will provid a way for your guests to cool off. Whether it be a pool, or some refreshing snacks people will need a way to stay cool. One solution is to set up an outdoor tent, this way your guests will be able to enjoy the shade without having to retreat inside.             The most important element of your party is the food you serve. Whether you decide to cater or to serve the food yourself, you’ll need a plan to ensure that there is something for everyone to eat. If you choose to cater, you’ll be able to better enjoy your party rather than worrying about taking care of the details. Staples of summer food include fruit, BBQ and small appetizers. Whatever you decide to serve, stick to a buffet in order to allow guests to come and go as they please. One aspect of the food you should control is the drinks. In order to have a truly memorable party, you should create a signature cocktail for your event. This simple touch is never overlooked as guests always appreciate a ready-made drink. When considering what drinks to serve, stick to fruity and sweeter flavors as they are better suited for summertime. Make sure you don’t forget the garnish! Another aspect to keep in mind is what type of entertainment you will be providing. While guests often enjoy chatting together, it will be important to have some sort of entertainment at your disposal in order to keep the party going. Good outdoor entertainment may include yard games such as corn hole or connect four or even an outdoor movie screening in the evening. If you are looking to really spice up your night and impress your guests, hire professional dancer for later in the night. When considering your entertainment, music is always the most important component. Music will be a big part of how you set the tone of your party. If you are looking for a calmer atmosphere, a band is a good choice, as it allows people to chat casually with music in the background. For a more energetic atmosphere, a DJ would be a better choice. A DJ will get people up and dancing throughout the night and keep your party going as long as you want. Whatever you do decide, make sure you have the perfect summer playlist ready to go when the time comes. The last thing you should consider is the decorations. This will tie your party together and make it feel complete. If you are outdoors, it may seem difficult to decorate your space, but it’s all about being creative and using the space you have. Hanging lights from near by trees or under the tent, having balloon arrangements throughout the space and keeping vases of flowers handy will all provide a fun touch without looking tacky. Having features like a photobooth or a cookie decorating table will also help your party feel more complete. Having the perfect summer party may seem a difficult feat at first, but by following these five simple tips, you will be sure to pull off a successful night. Breezin’ Entertainment & Productions offers premier service that is sure to both relieve the stress of the event planning process and guarantee that the entertainment that is provided exceeds all expectations. How to Throw a Successful Outdoor Event

Now that summer is here finally here, it’s time to take out the grill and get a barbecue going. You might be planning to throw a massive outdoor corporate party or wedding, or maybe you want to host a small family gathering. Either or, the best thing you can do is keep it as simple as possible. Here is a guide to help you throw a successful outdoor event for the summer. Decide on the Menu Don’t get overexcited and choose multiple food options. Instead, ask your guests about their food preferences and give them a few amazing meals. Having a smaller menu is much less of a hassle. You don’t need to worry about the temperatures and cooking times of different foods, and the preparation is going to be much easier on you. Food that can be cooked on a grill is not as messy. You can barbecue bread, vegetables, and meat to make the perfect meal for all your guests. What you can do is offer a wide range of drinking options to make up for the limited food choices. Your guests are going to appreciate the large beverage selection whether it’s alcoholic, non-alcoholic or a mix of both. Have Plenty of Furniture It’s essential to make sure all your guests are comfortable, especially during an outdoor party. That way, they can enjoy the ambiance, the food, the people, and the entertainment, which is vital to have for any outdoor event. Booking event entertainment can be a difficult task when you don’t have any connections and don’t know who to call. That’s why Breezin’ Entertainment is always happy to help. They have a wide selection of acts and talents to showcase at your summer party. From a wedding DJ to a stilt-walker, Breezin’ is the go-to Tampa entertainment agency that is guaranteed to bring the fun to you and all your guests. If you are going to have entertainment, make sure there are plenty of seats and tables for all your guests, so they can eat comfortably and enjoy the acts and performances. Select Lighting Lighting plays a huge factor in any event, especially if it is held during the evening. No matter the theme or occasion, you can never go wrong with some outdoor string lights. Note that your guests might be taking pictures during your event, so make sure to have some extra lighting in specific areas of the venue that are photo-worthy. Provide Shade Summer is a season filled with fun… and some shade, of course, because no one wants to sweat and get sunburnt. Make sure to have a couple of shady spots throughout the venue. You could rent some tents or have tables with large umbrellas. This is going to be an extra cost, but it’s your responsibility as the host to keep your guests as comfortable as possible. Source

Important Tips For Hosting Outdoor Events

Outdoor events can enable you to do a number of activities that just wouldn’t have the same effect as doing them indoors. For example, you might want to have a cookout, play sports or have an office scavenger hunt. These are perfect to do outside, but sometimes things can go awry. Mother Nature is usually the one to blame, but being one step ahead of these unexpected challenges can actually save your event. Here are some tips to avoid mistakes at your next outdoor event. The first thing you need to do is consider these things during the planning stage of your event:
  • The location’s seasonal trends
  • Time of the event
  • The expected weather
  • Bugs
Select a venue that appropriately fits these considerations. Remember to expect the worse that can happen on the event day, and be prepared to face that challenge if it comes. Wind and rain are not the only issues that may arise. If you are hosting your event during the summer, there is a possibility of extremely hot weather that might be present that day depending on the location. It’s important to have plenty of water for your guests and some tents for shade. If renting multiple tents is out of your budget, you could have one large tent to act as a cooling lounge for guests to take a break from the heat and cool off. Avoid serving alcohol, since this can cause further dehydration. As the host of an event, it is your responsibility to make sure that everyone’s safety and well-being are strongly taken into consideration. Here are some extra items to purchase to make your guests’ experience more convenient in the heat.
  • Bug repellent
  • Sunscreen
  • Water cases or beverage dispensers
  • Umbrellas
  • Blankets
Make sure you have some extra space in your budget for purchases like this. That way you and your attendees are ready for those unexpected changes in weather. No, you don’t need the ability to see the future to have a successful outdoor event, but you do need to be on your game for the sake of your guests. Another tip you might want to think about is having a backup location in case of a thunderstorm or any other outdoor hazards. This might be expensive, but it can be something as simple as a building that is already nearby or even an extra tent. If you are expecting colder weather for your event, purchase outdoor heaters and remind guests to bring jackets and sweaters. Finally, once you have made sure that your guests are going to be safe and content, it’s time to start booking event entertainment. Whether you need a wedding DJ or a live band for your corporate party, you can leave it to Breezin’ Entertainment. They are a Tampa entertainment agency with years of experience in the event and entertainment industry. Your guests should not only feel safe but should also have fun.
