Planning a Fall Harvest Event

With Fall upon us, you may be considering a Fall Harvest event theme. At first, it may be difficult to come up with entertainment ideas for the theme, but once you’re done reading, you’ll feel excited about all of the things you can do to make your event stand out. To entertain your guests, hands-on activities are a great way to get your guests engaged and excited. With Thanksgiving coming up, create an arts-and-crafts station where guests can create their very own centerpiece. Guests will be able to take home a souvenir from your event to always remember how much fun they had. If you’re not artistic yourself and you’re looking for something to give your guests a good laugh, consider a caricature artist. Guests can walk over to the artist at their leisure and sit down for a short few minutes while the artist turns them into a cartoon. Then the guest can take home their personalized art and hang it up on their wall or keep it as a memory. One of the best parts of Fall is the warm, delicious food. A catering service will ensure that your food is perfect and offer you free time to entertain. When it comes to lighter fare, consider a Popcorn Bar. Rent a popcorn machine and set up all sorts of toppings for your guests to choose from like chocolate chips, M&M’s, or mini peanut butter cups. Guests can choose from what they like and pour it into a nice portable bag, so they have a snack for the night. If that’s not enough for you, finger foods like caramel apple slices or a cheese and meat board do well to encompass the foods of fall. Once the food is figured out, get cozy with a spiked apple cider or pomegranate sangria. For the kids, fix up some fizzy apple cider or holiday Shirley Temples. If you want to personalize your drink menu, hire a bartender or two to serve specialty cocktails specific to your event. Guests will leave wondering what made your cocktails so great! A great, well-decorated venue makes a world of a difference and can really transform your event. Make your guests comfortable by turning your venue into a crisp, fall forest with your décor. Fake leaves are a fun and no-mess way to recreate the falling leaves while real pumpkins, apples, and squash are a unique way to bring some nature into the venue. Utilize warm lighting and candles to compliment the warm colors of your color pallet and create an intimate ambiance. After decorating your venue, take the atmosphere to another level with your music. Consider an acoustic band to play a soft, relaxed version of all your favorite songs throughout the event. This will leave guests feeling comfortable and at ease. If you’re looking to spice things up later on in the night, hire a DJ for an hour or two. This provides a nice balance between an easy-going vibe and ending the night with a bang. If you want to look back and remember the night after it’s already over, a photographer or videographer is the way to go. A photographer can capture candid moments either for you to keep or for you to post on your website. Either way, professional photos look much better than those taken on a phone. A videographer can help you put together a film that embraces the atmosphere and mood that a still photo can’t. Be sure to create a hashtag for your event so guests can let all of their friends know what a great time they’re having. This is a great way to promote your company or let everyone know it’s your special day.  All of the services mentioned above are offered through Breezin’ Entertainment. Booking Entertainment for Fall-Themed Events

With fall upon us, you may be considering a fall theme for your next event. Whether you want your event to be spooky, or warm and cozy, there are a number of entertainment options to ensure your event gives off the exact vibe that you want. Spooky: If you’re feeling the creepy, crawly spirits floating about, consider a Halloween theme for your next event. There’s only one day a year where dressing up as your favorite pop star is socially acceptable, so why not extend this opportunity to your guests? Perhaps hire a clown to entertain, or even innocently spook, your guests. Clowns are a great source of silly entertainment that helps your guests unwind and fall into the fun of your event. If a clown seems a little too terrifying, consider an arts and crafts table where guests are able to paint their own pumpkins or create ghostly decorations for their very own Halloween celebration. This hands-on activity lets your guests leave with a souvenir so whenever they see it, they’ll be reminded of what a great night they had at your event. If you’re hosting a mature, adult event, consider hiring a bartender or two to create specialty, eerie drinks for guests throughout the night. Specialty cocktails are a great way to separate your event from the rest. Come up with a catchy name specific to each cocktail that will leave guests wondering “What made that vampire-blood drink so good?” even after they leave the event. Lastly, consider hosting a costume contest. This will get guests especially excited about your event and make their night memorable. Perhaps the winner of the costume contest will win a gift card to a favorite restaurant or a spa day. Whatever you choose your prize to be, costume contests can be a fun, interactive way to get your guests counting down the days until your event. Warm and Cozy: If you’re not into the scary vibes of Halloween, maybe an event showcasing the colors of fall is a better route for you. Center your décor around the changing colors of the leaves with drapery or balloons to remind your guests of the Northern woods. You can create ambiance with warm lighting and candles encompassing your venue, making your guests relaxed and comfortable upon entrance. Considering having your event catered? Pick foods like pumpkin pie, apple cider, or a fall cheese board that fills the room with the smells of fall. When guests walk into your event, they will instantly take in the aromas and feel right at home. Plus, who doesn’t love great food with no hassle? By hiring a catering team, you don’t have to fuss or worry about restocking food. You’re able to enjoy your event just like your guests. Are you looking for some fun activities to entertain throughout the event? Set up a photo booth with props and a hashtag that your guests can have fun with and even bring photos home. Maybe include some carnival games to remind your guests of fall fairs and get them engaged. To get your guests in the groove, hire a live band to give your event that personal feel that can’t be faked. Whether you’re looking for fun and spooky or relaxed and warm, Breezin’ Entertainment has all of your Fall-themed booking entertainment event needs. Holiday events can be tricky to get just right so don’t do it alone. Visit our website, Breezin.com, to learn more about our services and how Breezin’ can make your event a night guests won’t forget. 5 Tips to Help Decide on Choosing a Wedding DJ or Live Band

To DJ or to Band? That is the question. Entertainment is one of the most important aspects to keep in mind when planning a wedding. One of the easiest ways to create a fun, interactive experience for your guests is through music. However, this boasts the question, “Do I hire a live band or a DJ?” To answer the question, here are five tips for deciding whether to hire a wedding DJ or a live band. 1. Venue: The first thing you have to take into consideration is the venue. If you’re having your reception indoors, such as a country club, is there enough space for a stage without sacrificing too much dancefloor? A band will typically consist of four to six performers, requiring enough space for each performer and their instrument. A DJ, on the other hand, requires a table and space for a single performer, typically taking up less room than a full band. Also if your event is outdoors do you offer shelter in case of poor weather? The last thing you want is your music for the evening to be canceled due to a little rain. 2. Guestlist: Next, who’s on your guest list? Is it a small, intimate wedding with your closest friends and family? Or does it consist of family members you haven’t seen in years, but your mother says you just HAVE to invite? If you have children attending your wedding it may be beneficial to ensure your band or DJ has music options to entertain them. It’s important to think of your guests when it comes to the music choices. You want the band or DJ to be able to play a wide variety of music that guests of all ages would enjoy. However, balance is key! You want to make sure you enjoy the music just as much as you think everyone else will. 3. Budget: If you’re on a budget, DJ’s are typically less expensive than a whole band. However, it is possible to have live music without a hefty cost. Consider instead of hiring an entire band, just have a solo performer or duo. At a small, intimate wedding this can set a relaxed, and personal mood. If you’d rather have a wider variety of music, a DJ may be the way to go. Either way, a tighter budget doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice your hope for a DJ or live band. 4. Vibe: Music can set a vibe for the atmosphere like none other, that’s why it’s important to take the vibe you hope for into account. Do you want your wedding to be sophisticated and elegant? Perhaps a string quartet would be a good choice. Are you having your wedding on the beach? Maybe a Latin band or a DJ with a tropical specialty. Whatever vibe you may be going for, it is important that your music matches. The last thing you’d want is to accidentally hire a band specializing in rock for your barn-centered wedding. 5. See Them Live: Whether you choose a DJ or live band it is imperative that you see them perform live before you sign them. No matter how great they look on paper, you don’t want to take the chance that their advertisements aren’t telling the whole truth. Perhaps the live band you’re looking into can’t sustain their upbeat appearance all night, or your DJ spins great music but is a horrible emcee. It’s just like buying a new car, you have to give it a test drive first. Whether you choose a DJ or live band, Breezin’ Entertainment is here to make your wedding an event your guests will never forget. Head to our website, Breezin.com, and check out our Services page. Breezin’ Magazine’s Volume 3 Cover Reveal of New Mayor Jane Castor

Coming this October 21st, 2019, Breezin’ Magazine is excited to announce its third edition, “The New Tampa Bay”. Diving deep into the happenings of Tampa Bay, St. Pete/Clearwater, and Sarasota, “The New Tampa Bay” will cover new and upcoming developments along with the leading charities, event moguls, key influencers, and industry professionals in the area. The face of the upcoming magazine will feature none other than Tampa Bay’s very own Mayor, Jane Castor, who was elected into office March 5th, 2019. Castor received her undergraduate degree in criminology from The University of Tampa located right on the Hillsborough River across from downtown. In 1984 she began her professional career with the Tampa Bay Police Department. Later, in 2005, she became the assistant chief until 2009 when she was appointed to Chief of Police, holding this position for six years until her 2015 retirement. Breezin’ Magazine’s Director of Events, Jessie Soplinski sat down with Mayor Castor to discuss Castor’s first 150 days as mayor. Soplinski questioned Castor on her road to office, her thoughts on “The New Tampa Bay”, her main challenges and more. Mayor Castor is excited to make improvements to the city such as public transportation and the Pipes Program, which focuses on renewing the nearly 100-year-old sewage system. You can find the whole interview transcript in “The New Tampa Bay” magazine at BreezinMagazine.com The magazine also includes articles on The Tampa Bay Museum of Art, The Florida Aquarium, The MacDill Air Force Base, among many others. “The New Tampa Bay” works well to encompass the Tampa Bay community as a whole and offers inside information on new and upcoming projects. One of the articles is a spread about Breezin’ Entertainment’s charity of the year, Instruments 4 Life. This charity will be honored at the Breezin’ Magazine Launch party with all proceeds donated directly. Instruments 4 Life has provided instrument and art lessons for kids in the area for the past eight years in order to teach children empowerment through art and music. They believe that all children should have the opportunity to grow a passion for music and art, regardless of their family’s financial situation. Many children who utilize the lessons are from underprivileged communities where music and art programs are often underfunded. Instruments 4 Life works to combat the stigma that these programs are an extracurricular activity rather than a part of a well-rounded education. Of course, the magazine also offers tips for corporate entertainment and destination weddings. If you’re thinking about hosting an event, “The New Tampa Bay” will help trigger some ideas on how to make your event stand out from the rest. You can also visit https://breezin.com/wedding-services/ to learn more about ways to make your wedding day unique. All this can be found in Breezin’ Magazine’s third edition, “The New Tampa Bay” only available on BreezinMagazine.com. Don’t miss out on what’s to come, stay tuned! How to Choose the Perfect Venue for an Event feat. The Westshore Yacht Club

Choosing a venue may get lost in importance when planning an event – a bride and groom may choose a Pinterest-perfect venue instead of following their style, or the venue may be chosen before a guest list is finalized, unknowingly choosing a much bigger or smaller venue than what is needed. To get focused, here are four key tips to consider before booking a venue for your next wedding or corporate event. 1. Ensure that you choose a venue with the ambiance and style you are looking for The ambiance of a venue sets the mood for the rest of the event. A venue can be minimalistic and easily transformed with lots of décor and entertainment, or it may have a strong style on its own that simply needs to be accented with personalized pieces. Choosing a style such as rustic, fairytale, beachy, or glam before looking at venues will help narrow your options more efficiently and ensures the event will complete your vision. 2. Check out what is included and what is not included in the venue Some venues offer full-service packages that may include set-up and minimal decorations, while at other venues you must rent and bring your own. This will make the venue costs change greatly, so be sure to get quotes from rental companies and check all of the boxes before locking in a venue. They may also have catering, blocks of rooms for out-of-town guests available if the venue is a hotel or various amenities such as a spa or a pool. If there is a certain element or convenience you are looking for, be sure to ask the venue what all of your options are. Even if the venue doesn’t have everything you need, working with an event entertainment agency can fill in the gaps seamlessly. Breezin’ Entertainment offers a wide variety of entertainment for your any type of event. To see the full list of services, please visit https://breezin.com/ 3. Consider the experience you want your guests to have It is important to decide what kind of experience you want to give your guests. There is an infinite number of ways to do this, such as unique and impressive entertainment, having various activities and amenities available, and great music. For example, if you are thinking about creating a hashtag for guests to use at your wedding or event, be sure your venue has elements that encourage guests to take pictures to post and to look back on fondly. Having a scenic view and a photo booth or a wall backdrop with props would help guests take memorable photos that they’ll want to share. If your guests are coming from out of town, create a plan that will give them a place to stay and have ways to enjoy themselves and relax outside of attending the event. 4. Choose a venue that meets your needs and expectations for the event Finalizing a guest list before you book a venue will make sure you are choosing the correct sized space for the size of the event. Ask the venue manager about how much parking is available, and decide how guests will travel to the venue. Making these important decisions will help your event be as perfect as possible. Welcome to The Bay Club at Westshore Yacht Club – a full banquet facility located in historic South Tampa for all your event needs. This event space can hold any event from an intimate ten-person luncheon to a lavish 300 guest waterfront wedding. They offer onsite catering, a full liquor bar, a bridal room & a groom room to get ready for the special day, sunsets on the bay every day, and the comfort that it will all be taken care of for your special event. 5 Essentials You Might Miss When Choosing a Venue Feat. Wyndham Grand Hotel

There are many things to consider when planning, organizing and hosting an event whether it’s a corporate event or a wedding. However, many people miss the importance of taking time to choose a venue. This is the place where your guests should feel comfortable and enjoy themselves from start to finish. Here are five essential things you might not think about when choosing an event venue. 1. Acoustics and Sound Try to find a venue with a fine balance between lower ceilings, which amplify sound, and large open rooms that cause echoes. Sound that is overbearingly loud or too low might cause guests to feel unengaged, bored or even annoyed. No one wants to have to yell over the volume or squeeze their way closer to the speakers. 2. Ambiance Throwing a fun and engaging event for your guests means creating an environment that is appealing and relates to the theme. The ambiance includes everything from decorations to music to entertainment, which is something that Tampa entertainment agency, Breezin’ Entertainment, can assist you with. Creating the appropriate mood for your guests with the right venue can be difficult to achieve. For a venue that sets the perfect mood for any occasion, you can have your event at the Wyndham Grand Clearwater Beach. This is the ideal location for a Florida destination wedding, a fun-filled, beach-themed corporate event, or even a holiday party. In fact, Breezin’ Entertainment has done wedding and corporate events with the Wyndham Grand featuring all kinds of entertainment including an electric violinist, DJ karaoke, Cirque acts, and more. 3. Wifi Access Having a stable internet connection in the entire venue is going to be critical. Many of your guests may need to complete certain tasks where they might need wifi like checking their email, texting friends, and family, and of course, posting on social media during the event, which is what you want to try and get your guests to do. It’s best to test the wifi connection a few days before the event and the day of to make sure all your guests have access in the entire venue. You don’t want your guests having to walk outside of the event trying to find a strong connection. 4. Parking Many of your guests are obviously going to need a place to leave their car, and you want to make parking as convenient as possible for them. Make sure to make parking arrangements at the venue even if there might be an extra charge. The venue should have its own garage or parking lot. 5. Insurance There are some venues that might refuse to work with you if you don’t have the proper insurance. Discuss with the venue about what their insurance policy is and which side is expected to have it. If there is insurance to provide on your side, remember to contact your general liability agent as soon as possible to help you. Welcome to the Wyndham Grand Clearwater Beach – the newest AAA 4 Diamond resort on America’s #1 Beach! Offering 343 guest rooms, including limited edition Winter the Dolphin & Friends suites, we’re the ideal backdrop for your Summer stay-cation. Located steps from the beach, experience award-winning dining at Ocean Hai, relax and unwind at Pallavi Luxury Spa and soak in all our family-friendly amenities like morning yoga poolside or drive-in movies. How to Throw the Perfect Summer Party

When summer time finally comes around, it is worth celebrating. If you are thinking about throwing a summer party, there are some elements you consider first in order to pull off the perfect event. Follow these quick steps in order to truly impress your guest with the perfect summer party. The first thing to think about when planning a summer party is whether or not you want your party to have a theme. A theme is a great way to get people excited about your party as it allows everyone to get dressed up and have fun. Popular themes for summer parties include a Hawaiian luau or an underwater adventure. Each theme allows you to get creative with food and decorations while still impressing your guests with your creativity. The next thing you should consider is your outdoor space. If you are thinking of having a party in the summer, you should make sure that you have a functional outdoor space. If the weather is nice people will want to be outside and in order to accommodate them, you’ll need a good entertaining space. Outdoor seating, tables and space to mingle will all be vital to make your party a success. Another thing to keep in mind is how you will provid a way for your guests to cool off. Whether it be a pool, or some refreshing snacks people will need a way to stay cool. One solution is to set up an outdoor tent, this way your guests will be able to enjoy the shade without having to retreat inside.             The most important element of your party is the food you serve. Whether you decide to cater or to serve the food yourself, you’ll need a plan to ensure that there is something for everyone to eat. If you choose to cater, you’ll be able to better enjoy your party rather than worrying about taking care of the details. Staples of summer food include fruit, BBQ and small appetizers. Whatever you decide to serve, stick to a buffet in order to allow guests to come and go as they please. One aspect of the food you should control is the drinks. In order to have a truly memorable party, you should create a signature cocktail for your event. This simple touch is never overlooked as guests always appreciate a ready-made drink. When considering what drinks to serve, stick to fruity and sweeter flavors as they are better suited for summertime. Make sure you don’t forget the garnish! Another aspect to keep in mind is what type of entertainment you will be providing. While guests often enjoy chatting together, it will be important to have some sort of entertainment at your disposal in order to keep the party going. Good outdoor entertainment may include yard games such as corn hole or connect four or even an outdoor movie screening in the evening. If you are looking to really spice up your night and impress your guests, hire professional dancer for later in the night. When considering your entertainment, music is always the most important component. Music will be a big part of how you set the tone of your party. If you are looking for a calmer atmosphere, a band is a good choice, as it allows people to chat casually with music in the background. For a more energetic atmosphere, a DJ would be a better choice. A DJ will get people up and dancing throughout the night and keep your party going as long as you want. Whatever you do decide, make sure you have the perfect summer playlist ready to go when the time comes. The last thing you should consider is the decorations. This will tie your party together and make it feel complete. If you are outdoors, it may seem difficult to decorate your space, but it’s all about being creative and using the space you have. Hanging lights from near by trees or under the tent, having balloon arrangements throughout the space and keeping vases of flowers handy will all provide a fun touch without looking tacky. Having features like a photobooth or a cookie decorating table will also help your party feel more complete. Having the perfect summer party may seem a difficult feat at first, but by following these five simple tips, you will be sure to pull off a successful night.
