Breezin’ Entertainment & Productions Joins Community Food Pantry to Give Back this Thanksgiving Holiday 2019

TAMPA, Fla., November 20, 2019 – Despite the cold temperatures on Saturday, November 16, 2019, Breezin’ Entertainment teamed up with The Community Food Pantry to put on their third consecutive Turkey Drive which provides frozen turkeys and sides for families in need around Thanksgiving. Out of the total 500 turkeys donated, Breezin’ Entertainment and The Krewe of the Knights of Sant’ Yago contributed 250 turkeys this year, over 100 more than in 2018. Over 500 families attended The Community Food Pantry’s Turkey Drive to collect frozen turkeys and bags filled with Thanksgiving essentials such as sides, plates, napkins, tablecloths, and supportive notes. Approximately 95 volunteers attended the Turkey Drive to help package food, direct traffic, and load food into cars. Through all of their hard work, the Turkey Drive ran smoothly and efficiently leaving all families who attended extremely gracious. The Community Food Pantry started the Turkey Drive event to give back to the community during the Thanksgiving holiday. Many members of the Tampa Bay community are unable to celebrate Thanksgiving with the traditional turkey dinner due to financial instability. By providing families in the North Tampa and Carrollwood Area with Thanksgiving essentials, The Community Food Pantry is able to help all families celebrate Thanksgiving, no matter their financial situation. “On behalf of the Breezin’ team, we want to thank everybody that was kind enough to donate to our Turkey Drive, especially The Krewe of the Knights of Sant’ Yago, who contributed 100 turkeys. We are humbled, we are grateful, there are over 500 families out here today and our support with the help of The Krewe of the Knights of Sant’ Yago was 250 turkeys and 10 volunteers this morning!” said Cindy Dervech, the founder of Breezin’ Entertainment and Productions. The Breezin’ staff was delighted to participate in an event that benefitted the members of their community. It is important for everyone to feel supported and cared for during the holiday season. 2019 Turkey Drive (Feat. Community Food Pantry)

With Thanksgiving around the corner, most Americans are probably thinking about their favorite Thanksgiving dish. Many people view Thanksgiving as a time for friends and family to get together and spend time around a giant table of food. Unfortunately, some families do not have the financial means to provide a whole turkey dinner for their family. Everyone deserves to have a big turkey dinner no matter what their financial situation may be, so this year The Community Food Pantry and Breezin’ Entertainment and Productions stepped in to help. On Saturday, November 16th, Breezin’ Entertainment and Productions teamed up with Community Food Pantry for their third consecutive year to host the Turkey Drive. The Turkey Drive provides families in the North Tampa and Carrollwood communities with Thanksgiving necessities to put together their very own meal. Each family is provided a turkey along with a grocery bag that is filled with sides, plates, napkins, tablecloths, and supportive notes. This year Breezin’ and Community Food Pantry reached their goal of 500 turkeys donated and families served, totaling over 200 more than the previous year. Cars were seen lining up around the corner past where the eye could see. As each car rolled up to the Turkey Drive, they were greeted by the smiling faces of 95 volunteers who eagerly loaded turkeys into each car despite the cold weather. This year, Breezin’ welcomed 10 of their very own volunteers to the drive and donated 250 turkeys with the help of The Krewe of the Knights of Sant’ Yago, more than double the previous year.  The Community Food Pantry began in 2008 as a small closet of food located in a church. By 2018, they expanded were serving 43,000 people within the Tampa Bay community, of which over a third were children and 15% were seniors. Not only does the Community Food Pantry provide food to families in need, but they also offer blood pressure screenings and information on social services that may be useful. As the Community Food Pantry continues to grow, they anticipate feeding over 50,000 people for the year of 2019.  Thanksgiving is not only a holiday of great food, but also a day to give thanks for what life has provided for us and to give back to the community. The Community Food Pantry has been working hard for 11 years to provide families with food and resources they need no matter their race, religion, financial situation, or overall perceived need. Breezin’ was honored to team up with the Community Food Pantry this past Saturday to help all families of Tampa Bay enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday. If you’d like to learn more about the Community Food Pantry and the Turkey Drive you can check out our Facebook page, facebook.com/breezinentertainment, where we’ve posted a video to document a small portion of the event. Advantages of Hiring a DJ for your Wedding

When the time comes to decide the music for your wedding, you might be thinking of hiring a DJ. DJ’s are a great way to satisfy all of your guests, no matter what age they are. Below we list just a few of the many advantages of hiring a DJ for your wedding. Wide Variety If you’re looking for different varieties of music, a wedding DJ is a great choice. Not only do they have the ability to satisfy every song you request, but your guests’ as well. This helps to create the perfect balance between songs you want to hear, and songs your guests are in the mood for. If one minute you’re feeling an Oldies song and the next you want to hear one of 2019’s top hits, the DJ can accommodate no problem. Our client, Lairhe, hired a DJ through Breezin’ Entertainment in May of 2019 for her wedding and he did not disappoint.
“The DJ was AMAZING!! I have nothing but great things to say about him!! He played great music, got people hype, no one wanted to leave the stage since the beginning! He was so attentive the whole time asking me about what was next, making sure he pronounced the names correctly. He gave all of the announcements in both languages! I’m beyond grateful for everything he did!”
Lairhe is just one of our many clients who have booked a wedding DJ through Breezin’ Entertainment. Check out our Testimonials page on Breezin.com for more reviews of our services. Energy and Announcements DJs bring a lot of energy to the reception to help maintain a lively atmosphere. They can feel out the vibe coming from your guests and adjust accordingly. Additionally, they can make announcements throughout the night to let your guests know things like when the father-daughter dance will begin and where they should go. This helps your wedding flow and avoid confusion. “Do Not Play List” It’s very common to have a list of preferred songs that you’d like to be played, but DJs can also follow a “do not play” list. This could include songs that you’ve heard one too many times or something more general like “do not play any music with explicit language”. By having a “do not play” list you’re able to keep your wedding’s vibe exactly how you envisioned it. The DJ will come with a setlist in mind but accept song requests so long as they don’t fall within the “do not play” guidelines. Accommodating Whether you’re looking for music that brings excitement to your guests or a more laid-back vibe, a DJ is a great, affordable option to ensure you get exactly what you want. DJs are extremely accommodating and will have almost every song you can think of so there’s no shortage of variety. They can also make announcements throughout the night to ensure your reception stays on schedule and all guests know where they need to be.  If you’re thinking of hiring a DJ for your wedding, check out our website, Breezin.com/weddings-services/, for more information. Planning a Fall Harvest Event

With Fall upon us, you may be considering a Fall Harvest event theme. At first, it may be difficult to come up with entertainment ideas for the theme, but once you’re done reading, you’ll feel excited about all of the things you can do to make your event stand out. To entertain your guests, hands-on activities are a great way to get your guests engaged and excited. With Thanksgiving coming up, create an arts-and-crafts station where guests can create their very own centerpiece. Guests will be able to take home a souvenir from your event to always remember how much fun they had. If you’re not artistic yourself and you’re looking for something to give your guests a good laugh, consider a caricature artist. Guests can walk over to the artist at their leisure and sit down for a short few minutes while the artist turns them into a cartoon. Then the guest can take home their personalized art and hang it up on their wall or keep it as a memory. One of the best parts of Fall is the warm, delicious food. A catering service will ensure that your food is perfect and offer you free time to entertain. When it comes to lighter fare, consider a Popcorn Bar. Rent a popcorn machine and set up all sorts of toppings for your guests to choose from like chocolate chips, M&M’s, or mini peanut butter cups. Guests can choose from what they like and pour it into a nice portable bag, so they have a snack for the night. If that’s not enough for you, finger foods like caramel apple slices or a cheese and meat board do well to encompass the foods of fall. Once the food is figured out, get cozy with a spiked apple cider or pomegranate sangria. For the kids, fix up some fizzy apple cider or holiday Shirley Temples. If you want to personalize your drink menu, hire a bartender or two to serve specialty cocktails specific to your event. Guests will leave wondering what made your cocktails so great! A great, well-decorated venue makes a world of a difference and can really transform your event. Make your guests comfortable by turning your venue into a crisp, fall forest with your décor. Fake leaves are a fun and no-mess way to recreate the falling leaves while real pumpkins, apples, and squash are a unique way to bring some nature into the venue. Utilize warm lighting and candles to compliment the warm colors of your color pallet and create an intimate ambiance. After decorating your venue, take the atmosphere to another level with your music. Consider an acoustic band to play a soft, relaxed version of all your favorite songs throughout the event. This will leave guests feeling comfortable and at ease. If you’re looking to spice things up later on in the night, hire a DJ for an hour or two. This provides a nice balance between an easy-going vibe and ending the night with a bang. If you want to look back and remember the night after it’s already over, a photographer or videographer is the way to go. A photographer can capture candid moments either for you to keep or for you to post on your website. Either way, professional photos look much better than those taken on a phone. A videographer can help you put together a film that embraces the atmosphere and mood that a still photo can’t. Be sure to create a hashtag for your event so guests can let all of their friends know what a great time they’re having. This is a great way to promote your company or let everyone know it’s your special day.  All of the services mentioned above are offered through Breezin’ Entertainment. Check out what other services we provide through our Services tab on our website, Breezin.com. We look forward to helping you make your event into a fall spectacle! Booking Entertainment for Fall-Themed Events

With fall upon us, you may be considering a fall theme for your next event. Whether you want your event to be spooky, or warm and cozy, there are a number of entertainment options to ensure your event gives off the exact vibe that you want. Spooky: If you’re feeling the creepy, crawly spirits floating about, consider a Halloween theme for your next event. There’s only one day a year where dressing up as your favorite pop star is socially acceptable, so why not extend this opportunity to your guests? Perhaps hire a clown to entertain, or even innocently spook, your guests. Clowns are a great source of silly entertainment that helps your guests unwind and fall into the fun of your event. If a clown seems a little too terrifying, consider an arts and crafts table where guests are able to paint their own pumpkins or create ghostly decorations for their very own Halloween celebration. This hands-on activity lets your guests leave with a souvenir so whenever they see it, they’ll be reminded of what a great night they had at your event. If you’re hosting a mature, adult event, consider hiring a bartender or two to create specialty, eerie drinks for guests throughout the night. Specialty cocktails are a great way to separate your event from the rest. Come up with a catchy name specific to each cocktail that will leave guests wondering “What made that vampire-blood drink so good?” even after they leave the event. Lastly, consider hosting a costume contest. This will get guests especially excited about your event and make their night memorable. Perhaps the winner of the costume contest will win a gift card to a favorite restaurant or a spa day. Whatever you choose your prize to be, costume contests can be a fun, interactive way to get your guests counting down the days until your event. Warm and Cozy: If you’re not into the scary vibes of Halloween, maybe an event showcasing the colors of fall is a better route for you. Center your décor around the changing colors of the leaves with drapery or balloons to remind your guests of the Northern woods. You can create ambiance with warm lighting and candles encompassing your venue, making your guests relaxed and comfortable upon entrance. Considering having your event catered? Pick foods like pumpkin pie, apple cider, or a fall cheese board that fills the room with the smells of fall. When guests walk into your event, they will instantly take in the aromas and feel right at home. Plus, who doesn’t love great food with no hassle? By hiring a catering team, you don’t have to fuss or worry about restocking food. You’re able to enjoy your event just like your guests. Are you looking for some fun activities to entertain throughout the event? Set up a photo booth with props and a hashtag that your guests can have fun with and even bring photos home. Maybe include some carnival games to remind your guests of fall fairs and get them engaged. To get your guests in the groove, hire a live band to give your event that personal feel that can’t be faked. Whether you’re looking for fun and spooky or relaxed and warm, Breezin’ Entertainment has all of your Fall-themed booking entertainment event needs. Holiday events can be tricky to get just right so don’t do it alone. Visit our website, Breezin.com, to learn more about our services and how Breezin’ can make your event a night guests won’t forget. 5 Tips to Help Decide on Choosing a Wedding DJ or Live Band

To DJ or to Band? That is the question. Entertainment is one of the most important aspects to keep in mind when planning a wedding. One of the easiest ways to create a fun, interactive experience for your guests is through music. However, this boasts the question, “Do I hire a live band or a DJ?” To answer the question, here are five tips for deciding whether to hire a wedding DJ or a live band. 1. Venue: The first thing you have to take into consideration is the venue. If you’re having your reception indoors, such as a country club, is there enough space for a stage without sacrificing too much dancefloor? A band will typically consist of four to six performers, requiring enough space for each performer and their instrument. A DJ, on the other hand, requires a table and space for a single performer, typically taking up less room than a full band. Also if your event is outdoors do you offer shelter in case of poor weather? The last thing you want is your music for the evening to be canceled due to a little rain. 2. Guestlist: Next, who’s on your guest list? Is it a small, intimate wedding with your closest friends and family? Or does it consist of family members you haven’t seen in years, but your mother says you just HAVE to invite? If you have children attending your wedding it may be beneficial to ensure your band or DJ has music options to entertain them. It’s important to think of your guests when it comes to the music choices. You want the band or DJ to be able to play a wide variety of music that guests of all ages would enjoy. However, balance is key! You want to make sure you enjoy the music just as much as you think everyone else will. 3. Budget: If you’re on a budget, DJ’s are typically less expensive than a whole band. However, it is possible to have live music without a hefty cost. Consider instead of hiring an entire band, just have a solo performer or duo. At a small, intimate wedding this can set a relaxed, and personal mood. If you’d rather have a wider variety of music, a DJ may be the way to go. Either way, a tighter budget doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice your hope for a DJ or live band. 4. Vibe: Music can set a vibe for the atmosphere like none other, that’s why it’s important to take the vibe you hope for into account. Do you want your wedding to be sophisticated and elegant? Perhaps a string quartet would be a good choice. Are you having your wedding on the beach? Maybe a Latin band or a DJ with a tropical specialty. Whatever vibe you may be going for, it is important that your music matches. The last thing you’d want is to accidentally hire a band specializing in rock for your barn-centered wedding. 5. See Them Live: Whether you choose a DJ or live band it is imperative that you see them perform live before you sign them. No matter how great they look on paper, you don’t want to take the chance that their advertisements aren’t telling the whole truth. Perhaps the live band you’re looking into can’t sustain their upbeat appearance all night, or your DJ spins great music but is a horrible emcee. It’s just like buying a new car, you have to give it a test drive first. Whether you choose a DJ or live band, Breezin’ Entertainment is here to make your wedding an event your guests will never forget. Head to our website, Breezin.com, and check out our Services page.
