Planning a Fall Harvest Event

With Fall upon us, you may be considering a Fall Harvest event theme. At first, it may be difficult to come up with entertainment ideas for the theme, but once you’re done reading, you’ll feel excited about all of the things you can do to make your event stand out. To entertain your guests, hands-on activities are a great way to get your guests engaged and excited. With Thanksgiving coming up, create an arts-and-crafts station where guests can create their very own centerpiece. Guests will be able to take home a souvenir from your event to always remember how much fun they had. If you’re not artistic yourself and you’re looking for something to give your guests a good laugh, consider a caricature artist. Guests can walk over to the artist at their leisure and sit down for a short few minutes while the artist turns them into a cartoon. Then the guest can take home their personalized art and hang it up on their wall or keep it as a memory. One of the best parts of Fall is the warm, delicious food. A catering service will ensure that your food is perfect and offer you free time to entertain. When it comes to lighter fare, consider a Popcorn Bar. Rent a popcorn machine and set up all sorts of toppings for your guests to choose from like chocolate chips, M&M’s, or mini peanut butter cups. Guests can choose from what they like and pour it into a nice portable bag, so they have a snack for the night. If that’s not enough for you, finger foods like caramel apple slices or a cheese and meat board do well to encompass the foods of fall. Once the food is figured out, get cozy with a spiked apple cider or pomegranate sangria. For the kids, fix up some fizzy apple cider or holiday Shirley Temples. If you want to personalize your drink menu, hire a bartender or two to serve specialty cocktails specific to your event. Guests will leave wondering what made your cocktails so great! A great, well-decorated venue makes a world of a difference and can really transform your event. Make your guests comfortable by turning your venue into a crisp, fall forest with your décor. Fake leaves are a fun and no-mess way to recreate the falling leaves while real pumpkins, apples, and squash are a unique way to bring some nature into the venue. Utilize warm lighting and candles to compliment the warm colors of your color pallet and create an intimate ambiance. After decorating your venue, take the atmosphere to another level with your music. Consider an acoustic band to play a soft, relaxed version of all your favorite songs throughout the event. This will leave guests feeling comfortable and at ease. If you’re looking to spice things up later on in the night, hire a DJ for an hour or two. This provides a nice balance between an easy-going vibe and ending the night with a bang. If you want to look back and remember the night after it’s already over, a photographer or videographer is the way to go. A photographer can capture candid moments either for you to keep or for you to post on your website. Either way, professional photos look much better than those taken on a phone. A videographer can help you put together a film that embraces the atmosphere and mood that a still photo can’t. Be sure to create a hashtag for your event so guests can let all of their friends know what a great time they’re having. This is a great way to promote your company or let everyone know it’s your special day.  All of the services mentioned above are offered through Breezin’ Entertainment. Check out what other services we provide through our Services tab on our website, Breezin.com. We look forward to helping you make your event into a fall spectacle! Booking Entertainment for Fall-Themed Events

With fall upon us, you may be considering a fall theme for your next event. Whether you want your event to be spooky, or warm and cozy, there are a number of entertainment options to ensure your event gives off the exact vibe that you want. Spooky: If you’re feeling the creepy, crawly spirits floating about, consider a Halloween theme for your next event. There’s only one day a year where dressing up as your favorite pop star is socially acceptable, so why not extend this opportunity to your guests? Perhaps hire a clown to entertain, or even innocently spook, your guests. Clowns are a great source of silly entertainment that helps your guests unwind and fall into the fun of your event. If a clown seems a little too terrifying, consider an arts and crafts table where guests are able to paint their own pumpkins or create ghostly decorations for their very own Halloween celebration. This hands-on activity lets your guests leave with a souvenir so whenever they see it, they’ll be reminded of what a great night they had at your event. If you’re hosting a mature, adult event, consider hiring a bartender or two to create specialty, eerie drinks for guests throughout the night. Specialty cocktails are a great way to separate your event from the rest. Come up with a catchy name specific to each cocktail that will leave guests wondering “What made that vampire-blood drink so good?” even after they leave the event. Lastly, consider hosting a costume contest. This will get guests especially excited about your event and make their night memorable. Perhaps the winner of the costume contest will win a gift card to a favorite restaurant or a spa day. Whatever you choose your prize to be, costume contests can be a fun, interactive way to get your guests counting down the days until your event. Warm and Cozy: If you’re not into the scary vibes of Halloween, maybe an event showcasing the colors of fall is a better route for you. Center your décor around the changing colors of the leaves with drapery or balloons to remind your guests of the Northern woods. You can create ambiance with warm lighting and candles encompassing your venue, making your guests relaxed and comfortable upon entrance. Considering having your event catered? Pick foods like pumpkin pie, apple cider, or a fall cheese board that fills the room with the smells of fall. When guests walk into your event, they will instantly take in the aromas and feel right at home. Plus, who doesn’t love great food with no hassle? By hiring a catering team, you don’t have to fuss or worry about restocking food. You’re able to enjoy your event just like your guests. Are you looking for some fun activities to entertain throughout the event? Set up a photo booth with props and a hashtag that your guests can have fun with and even bring photos home. Maybe include some carnival games to remind your guests of fall fairs and get them engaged. To get your guests in the groove, hire a live band to give your event that personal feel that can’t be faked. Whether you’re looking for fun and spooky or relaxed and warm, Breezin’ Entertainment has all of your Fall-themed booking entertainment event needs. Holiday events can be tricky to get just right so don’t do it alone. Visit our website, Breezin.com, to learn more about our services and how Breezin’ can make your event a night guests won’t forget. 5 Tips to Help Decide on Choosing a Wedding DJ or Live Band

To DJ or to Band? That is the question. Entertainment is one of the most important aspects to keep in mind when planning a wedding. One of the easiest ways to create a fun, interactive experience for your guests is through music. However, this boasts the question, “Do I hire a live band or a DJ?” To answer the question, here are five tips for deciding whether to hire a wedding DJ or a live band. 1. Venue: The first thing you have to take into consideration is the venue. If you’re having your reception indoors, such as a country club, is there enough space for a stage without sacrificing too much dancefloor? A band will typically consist of four to six performers, requiring enough space for each performer and their instrument. A DJ, on the other hand, requires a table and space for a single performer, typically taking up less room than a full band. Also if your event is outdoors do you offer shelter in case of poor weather? The last thing you want is your music for the evening to be canceled due to a little rain. 2. Guestlist: Next, who’s on your guest list? Is it a small, intimate wedding with your closest friends and family? Or does it consist of family members you haven’t seen in years, but your mother says you just HAVE to invite? If you have children attending your wedding it may be beneficial to ensure your band or DJ has music options to entertain them. It’s important to think of your guests when it comes to the music choices. You want the band or DJ to be able to play a wide variety of music that guests of all ages would enjoy. However, balance is key! You want to make sure you enjoy the music just as much as you think everyone else will. 3. Budget: If you’re on a budget, DJ’s are typically less expensive than a whole band. However, it is possible to have live music without a hefty cost. Consider instead of hiring an entire band, just have a solo performer or duo. At a small, intimate wedding this can set a relaxed, and personal mood. If you’d rather have a wider variety of music, a DJ may be the way to go. Either way, a tighter budget doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice your hope for a DJ or live band. 4. Vibe: Music can set a vibe for the atmosphere like none other, that’s why it’s important to take the vibe you hope for into account. Do you want your wedding to be sophisticated and elegant? Perhaps a string quartet would be a good choice. Are you having your wedding on the beach? Maybe a Latin band or a DJ with a tropical specialty. Whatever vibe you may be going for, it is important that your music matches. The last thing you’d want is to accidentally hire a band specializing in rock for your barn-centered wedding. 5. See Them Live: Whether you choose a DJ or live band it is imperative that you see them perform live before you sign them. No matter how great they look on paper, you don’t want to take the chance that their advertisements aren’t telling the whole truth. Perhaps the live band you’re looking into can’t sustain their upbeat appearance all night, or your DJ spins great music but is a horrible emcee. It’s just like buying a new car, you have to give it a test drive first. Whether you choose a DJ or live band, Breezin’ Entertainment is here to make your wedding an event your guests will never forget. Head to our website, Breezin.com, and check out our Services page. We offer information on DJs, live bands, Day of wedding planning, and more. Your event will be a breeze with Breezin’ Wedding Entertainment! Breezin’ Magazine’s Volume 3 Cover Reveal of New Mayor Jane Castor

Coming this October 21st, 2019, Breezin’ Magazine is excited to announce its third edition, “The New Tampa Bay”. Diving deep into the happenings of Tampa Bay, St. Pete/Clearwater, and Sarasota, “The New Tampa Bay” will cover new and upcoming developments along with the leading charities, event moguls, key influencers, and industry professionals in the area. The face of the upcoming magazine will feature none other than Tampa Bay’s very own Mayor, Jane Castor, who was elected into office March 5th, 2019. Castor received her undergraduate degree in criminology from The University of Tampa located right on the Hillsborough River across from downtown. In 1984 she began her professional career with the Tampa Bay Police Department. Later, in 2005, she became the assistant chief until 2009 when she was appointed to Chief of Police, holding this position for six years until her 2015 retirement. Breezin’ Magazine’s Director of Events, Jessie Soplinski sat down with Mayor Castor to discuss Castor’s first 150 days as mayor. Soplinski questioned Castor on her road to office, her thoughts on “The New Tampa Bay”, her main challenges and more. Mayor Castor is excited to make improvements to the city such as public transportation and the Pipes Program, which focuses on renewing the nearly 100-year-old sewage system. You can find the whole interview transcript in “The New Tampa Bay” magazine at BreezinMagazine.com The magazine also includes articles on The Tampa Bay Museum of Art, The Florida Aquarium, The MacDill Air Force Base, among many others. “The New Tampa Bay” works well to encompass the Tampa Bay community as a whole and offers inside information on new and upcoming projects. One of the articles is a spread about Breezin’ Entertainment’s charity of the year, Instruments 4 Life. This charity will be honored at the Breezin’ Magazine Launch party with all proceeds donated directly. Instruments 4 Life has provided instrument and art lessons for kids in the area for the past eight years in order to teach children empowerment through art and music. They believe that all children should have the opportunity to grow a passion for music and art, regardless of their family’s financial situation. Many children who utilize the lessons are from underprivileged communities where music and art programs are often underfunded. Instruments 4 Life works to combat the stigma that these programs are an extracurricular activity rather than a part of a well-rounded education. Of course, the magazine also offers tips for corporate entertainment and destination weddings. If you’re thinking about hosting an event, “The New Tampa Bay” will help trigger some ideas on how to make your event stand out from the rest. You can also visit https://breezin.com/wedding-services/ to learn more about ways to make your wedding day unique. All this can be found in Breezin’ Magazine’s third edition, “The New Tampa Bay” only available on BreezinMagazine.com. Don’t miss out on what’s to come, stay tuned! Breezin’ Chats Episode 19: Re-Building One Step at a Time (Feat. Stay in Step)

On this episode of Breezin’ Chats, Cindy Dervech and her executive team, Jessie Soplinski and Michael Dervech talk with featured guest, Romy and Gaby Camargo of Stay in Step Spinal Cord Injury Recovery Center. The team covers about the Charity and Romy’s road to recovery, a look inside the program and classes, this year’s Gala event, and what’s to come in the future for Stay in Step. So please give a warm welcome to Romy and Gaby. Living with a neurological injury is a challenge in itself, but that doesn’t stop Romulo “Romy” Camargo from living his life to the fullest. Stay in Step Spinal Cord Injury Recovery Center is an organization founded by husband and wife Romy and Gabriela Camargo that begun in June of 2015. This recovery center provides critical physical therapy services to victims of neurological injuries. Despite its importance, unfortunately healthcare providers do not provide these recovery centers. But the hardworking couple made it their goal to make this happen for the Tampa Bay area. In 2008, Romy was injured in combat during his service in the Afghanistan tour, which caused him to be paralyzed from the neck down. Romy’s life changed completely, but the couple faced the long-term challenge to recover together. From this tragic experience, they felt the need to advocate for those who suffer from neurological injuries like Romy. Stay in Step is a unique program that Romy and Gaby built together from the ground up. The process was difficult due to the descending rates of Medicare and Medicaid, but the organization was still able to receive investments from healthcare.   Stay in Step has the patience for those in recovery, unlike other healthcare providers. Each client is treated with the utmost respect and is never forgotten or left behind during their recovery. They can get as far as they possibly can in the process. Unfortunately, other healthcare providers do not have the same service. Because the couple has been living the same reality as their clients, they fully understand the challenges their clients face every day. For more information about Stay in Step or to make a small contribution to the charity, please visit https://stayinstep.org/   Want to hear more of Romy and Gaby’s story?
