Intrapreneur Boss

In case you haven’t heard, there’s a job that allows you to create new products and services with the financial support of a company, and you don’t have to follow a corporation’s routines and protocols. It’s called being an intrapreneur, and it’s a real thing that you could do.

You need to have the drive and innovative mindset of an entrepreneur and the ability to take on a few extra tasks, which can sometimes be risky. You also need to think out-of-the-box to be able to change the strategic direction of the company and help the corporation grow. If you can achieve these things, you can be equipped with the potential to gain leadership positions.

For example, massive companies like Google and Microsoft are always looking to come up with new ideas to create long-term benefits for consumers and the company. The outcome of this exploration has resulted in significant technological advances in society.

However, there are going to be difficulties being an intrapreneur. One of them is facing the backlash from co-workers who are not immune to change. Another is taking rejection, which is bound to happen. Going through several trials is needed in order for you to grow and get somewhere. You can never give up on projects and must always be willing to put in the extra effort.

Being an intrapreneur allows you to watch a business grow from your creative ideas. If you possess the qualities of an intrapreneur, then it’s time you go out and become the driving force for a company.

Your Own You

Whitney Holtzman is the CEO of her own company, Social Victories, which helps build the brand of athletes and people involved in the sports industry. Her journey to success was achieved through her self-awareness and a boss who helped pave her professional career to what it is today.

Playing sports was Whitney’s outlet from school, and she always knew she wanted to have a sports-related career. Coming from a family of all lawyers, she felt like she needed to be different. She valued the importance of doing something she was passionate about and “going all in on what you care about most and sacrificing other opportunities.” Her mind was fed with important life lessons while she was an employee at VaynerMedia being mentored by the king of entrepreneurship, Gary Vaynerchuck.

“Gary was the first boss I ever had who gave my skillset and interpersonal capabilities a name and value.” Whitney learned many valuable lessons from Gary. She also found like-minded people working at VaynerMedia who believed in her, which helped build the foundation of her career. Some major advice she received was to be efficient, don’t waste time, go all in on your strengths, and much more. This has guided her to run her own company and focus on what she has always been passionate about since the beginning: sports.

She is building brands and relationships between companies and consumers using the latest marketing and social media tactics, and couldn’t be happier with where she is at today.

Re-Building One Step at a Time

Living with a neurological injury is a challenge in itself, but that doesn’t stop Romulo “Romy” Camargo from living his life to the fullest. Stay in Step Spinal Cord Injury Recovery Center is an organization founded by husband and wife Romy and Gabriela Camargo that begun in June of 2015. This recovery center provides critical physical therapy services to victims of neurological injuries. Despite its importance, unfortunately healthcare providers do not provide these recovery centers. But the hardworking couple made it their goal to make this happen for the Tampa Bay area.

In 2008, Romy was injured in combat during his service in the Afghanistan tour, which caused him to be paralyzed from the neck down. Romy’s life changed completely, but the couple faced the long-term challenge to recover together. From this tragic experience, they felt the need to advocate for those who suffer from neurological injuries like Romy.

Stay in Step is a unique program that Romy and Gabriela built together from the ground up. The process was difficult due to the descending rates of Medicare and Medicaid, but the organization was still able to receive investments from healthcare.

Stay in Step has the patience for those in recovery, unlike other healthcare providers. Each client is treated with the utmost respect and is never forgotten or left behind during their recovery. They can get as far as they possibly can in the process. Unfortunately, other healthcare providers do not have the same service. Because the couple has been living the same reality as their clients, they fully understand the challenges their clients face every day.

Breezin’s 40 Under 40 Awards: Tampa Bay’s Most Inspiring and Entrepreneurial

Breezin’ Magazine was proud to announce its second issue that launched on Oct. 24, 2018. The entrepreneurial issue featured a ‘Behind the Hustle’ look and view on event entertainment, entrepreneurship, and Tampa Bay business professionals. The magazine’s most anticipated article highlights a ’40 Under 40’ 2018 list, which recognized young entrepreneurs, artists, and innovators, that have been proactive in the Tampa Bay Area.

Today, we are featuring the main article that made this magazine come to life, “Breezin’s 40 Under 40 Awards: Tampa Bay’s Most Inspiring and Entrepreneurial.”

Tampa’s community leaders today noted the need to develop and nurture a deeper bench of passionate Tampans. The great Tampa Bay—a region with deep multicultural roots—has emerged as a Southern force in modern trade, commerce, and finance. But who will lead its next leg of compassion and growth?

Young professionals are key to the continued vibrant growth in Tampa Bay and therefore are a vital asset to our region. It is important to recognize and acknowledge those young leaders who have made their mark in the business world and bettered our community’s future.

Breezin’s 40 Under 40 Awards is Breezin’ Magazine’s answer to the call for nurturing one of our vital assets. Focused on leadership, impact, and community involvement, this year’s 40 Under 40 will include a charity “donation” on 24 October 2018 at the Godfrey Hotel with sponsored Tito’s open bar with every donation, and a chance to win some time with some of the Bay area’s top professionals. Event funds donated will go toward Stay in Step’s Spinal Cord Injury Recovery Center.

INTERESTING. FASCINATING. MOTIVATED & PRODUCTIVE.

Which Venue Best Suits You For Your Wedding

Choosing a wedding venue is usually one of the first big check marks off on the wedding to-do list. You want to make sure you are selecting your venue early because many popular spots book up for the year fairly quickly. Plus, once you know your wedding venue, it can help to set the scene and really create the style that you want your wedding to be in. Today, I want to present a couple of different wedding venues here in Tampa that are not only beautiful spots to tie the knot but they are also spaces that create different ambiances that you might be searching for. Let’s get into it!

Beach Venue

When living in a place as beautiful as Tampa, hosting a beach wedding is not that far-fetched. Most people have to travel to make this desirable destination happen for there big day but for those of us lucky to call this place home, there really is no reason to not take advantage. As simple as beach weddings might seem, you are still going to need a venue space that is going to accommodate for every possibility. Two venues that we love to work with because they are absolutely beautiful and they provide our clients with practical backup plans just in case Florida weather decides to be.. well Florida weather are the Don Cesar and the Postcard Inn. Both provide gorgeous indoor and outdoor options and both are highly experienced in beach wedding needs. Now, even though we love both equally, they are a little different when it comes to the overall style they bring to a beach wedding. The Don Cesar is going to provide you with a more luxurious style beach wedding with its bold artwork and castle like structure. The Postcard Inn on the other hand is going to give off more of that surfer chic look and feel for a more laid back, beach wedding.

Ballroom Venue

Now, if Cinderella was your all time favorite princess and you just HAVE to have that royal ballroom style wedding, then we have a couple of options you will want to look into. The Vinoy in St. Pete and The Hilton in downtown Tampa have the most gorgeous ballrooms with chandeliers dripping from the ceilings and elegant architecture that will take your breath away. These two upscale options are going to provide that classic wedding that we all dreamed about having.

Rustic Venue

One trend that we are seeing a lot of nowadays are more simply elegant and very beautiful are the rustic themed weddings. These weddings most of the time are outside with a lot of greenery and fresh air with plenty of space. So we figure what better place to get achieve all of this than a barn? Just to be clear we aren’t talking about some old rundown barn we are talking about two premier wedding venues that are going to provide you with unbeatable scenery and atmosphere. Both the Barn at Crescent Lake and Bakers Ranch are going to allow for a more intimate setting that is unbeatable and that you or your guests will never forget.

Unique Venue

If none of those options really fit your agenda and you are looking for more of a distinguishing space that is unlike most wedding venues, then these options are for you. The Rialto Theater and the Straz Center are perfect options for couples who want to be married in a grand and exquisite venue that are different than your stereotypical venue. Both options are going to allow for both indoor and outdoor wedding spaces, providing options and allowing couples to be versatile. We have a feeling though that with the gorgeous interior design both theaters offer, you’ll want to keep the party inside.

Each of these options are truly special and unique in their own way it really just depends on what YOU want for YOUR wedding! All of the options we gave you are going to do a wonderful job, the staff will be excellent, and your guests will love their experience but that is not all that matters. At the end of the day, selecting your wedding venue is all about choosing a location that aligns with your vision for your wedding. You want to make sure the venue you select is going to properly deliver the ambiance you want to create for your wedding. Just follow your gut (and your budget) and you can’t go wrong!
